FTP Instructions

Daylor's FTP site is ftp.daylor.com.  
The Vanasse Daylor site is ftp.vanday.com.  

The FTP sites can be accessed through Internet Explorer or an FTP client program such as WS_FTP Pro.  Sorry, Netscape browsers can't be used for the FTP sites.

Using Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Enter the FTP address  (for example ftp://ftp.daylor.com or ftp://ftp.vanday.com)  much as you would a normal web page address.
  3. A login box will appear.  Enter your User Name and Password.
  4. Click Login.

To add a file to the FTP site:

  1. Find the file on your computer you want to add.
  2. Copy the file.
  3. In Internet Explorer at the FTP site Paste the file.

You can also drag and drop the file from Windows Explorer into the Internet Explorer window..

To download a file from the FTP site:

    1.   Right-click on the file you want to download and select Copy to Folder.

   2.   Navigate to the folder where you want to download the file on your computer.

   3.   Click OK when you are finished.

Using WS_FTP Pro:

You can download an evaluation copy or purchase the WS_FTP Pro program at www.ipswitch.com.

  1. When you open WS_FTP Pro a Connection box will open.
  2. Go to File, and select New Site.
  3. Enter any Site Profile Name you'd like such as "Daylor FTP".
  4. The Host Name is ftp.daylor.com for the Daylor site and ftp.vanday.com for the Vanasse Daylor site.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Enter your User ID.  

  3. Enter your Password.

  4. No Account is necessary.  Click Finish.

  5. Select the site from the list of Configured Sites and click Connect.

To add a file to the FTP site:

  1. On the Local System side on the left, find the file you want to add. 
  2. Select the file and click the green arrow in the center pointing to the Remote System side on the right.

To download a file:

  1. On the Local System side on the left, navigate to the folder where you want to save the file on your computer.
  2. On the Remote System side to the right, find the file you want to download.
  3. Select the file and click the green arrow in the center pointing to the left.
